It’s in my nature to be helpful and as a result of my 30-year working life in a corporate environment, covering everything from reception and administrative tasks to the organisation of international events, I have a lot of amazing skills that I could be using for something. Lots of amazing somethings. With many talents, yet without a particular theme, I wasn’t exactly sure how to label myself in running my own business.

I want to convey that I understand how frustrating it is when you are faced with a pile of tasks that you either don’t really want to do or have run out of time to do. We all have laborious tasks, not just admin but everyday stuff that can get on top of us if we let it. Let’s face it, we’d all rather be doing something else. Except me. I’m the sort of weirdo who likes helping other people to do stuff.

When you’re running a small business and don’t want to employ a member of staff but you could use some extra skills or additional time on a specific project.

When you’ve had a long day doing whatever your actual job is and you don’t want to come home in the evening to do the paperwork or shop for that birthday present you forgot to buy in time.

It doesn’t stop you wishing that all that stuff would just somehow magically disappear. Now imagine if you could just strike it off your list because you have found that this sort of wizardry is possible.

Well, it is, and you’ve found it!

I want to offer a more flexible approach to all areas of life that you might need an extra pair of hands for. Is there something you’ve been putting off? You can’t (a) be bothered (b) face it (c) bear to look at it anymore (d) [insert relevant reason here] and you wish you could just get someone else to do it? You can.

I never thought I would hear myself saying “I’m starting my own business” but there you go. I am and I’m super excited about it. I promise I will pay my own taxes and do my own paperwork AND do yours as well if you like.

It is also highly convenient that my initials are LAB, so I have the extra bonus of a play on words. Happy days!
